My Inspiration
Out of all the things in my life, I am truly inspired by the feeling I get when I am on the soccer field. The adrenaline rushing through my body when we line up to be announced. Stepping on the field knowing you will play 90 minutes straight. I get this feeling every game and I have been playing this sport since I was only four years old. Mia Hamm once said "Somewhere behind the athlete you've become today and the hours of practices and the coaches who have pushed you... is a little girl who fell in love with game and never looked back... Play for her." This quote is hanging in my room and is my reminder everyday of how much I love the game of soccer. When I was littler sometimes I felt like I didn't fit in but soccer truly has changed my life. If I never would have started I would not be the person I am today. I would not be competing on my ODP (Olympic Development Program) team and just qualifying for State Cup quarterfinals. I would not be on the varsity soccer team and a captain as a sophomore. So really I am just inspired by what the game of soccer has done for me and I don't expect to stop playing anytime soon.
