We all know that chainmail is really cool and we all want our own little piece of it right? Well now I am going to tell you how to make your very own sheet. First you will need a lot of aluminum can tabs. Like those on coke-a-cola cans or root beer cans. But I must warn you, you can not use ones that only have one hole in the middle like those on monster cans. If it turns out that you do not have any please proceed to go to your local Meijer, buy a lot of pop cans and give them to me (I will let you keep the tabs). First you must have a pair of pliers. Take a tab and bend it at the middle until it has an angle of about 135 degrees. Or it looks roughly like this __/ . Then take a tin snip or wire cutter (preferably not too big) and cut a small opening in the top of the tab. then do this to the rest of them until you have enough for the size of sheet you want. Next take about four of then and go away from the others. Give them a pep talk because they are going to be the beginning of your sheet. First place one down on the table and take another and slide its bottom area into the gap on the top of the other one. Do this on the same base tab with another tab making two tabs next to each other connected by one lower tab (now is a good time to close the lower tabs opening so the other tabs wont fall out). Now take the other tab and connect it to both of the tabs that are side by side on top of the original tab. now it should resemble a diamond like shape. Continue to add more tabs on until you are happy with your sheet. Now go parade around and show your friends how cool you are with your very own piece of chainmail.
